Her face was sad but She was very smart and pretty,
A little later She saw a handsome man…
And She’d got excited…
He had been starin’ with the obviously interest,
With strange warm kindness at Her;
In several hours She would be a lucky lovin’ mrs,
And sorrow never returned!

They were so happy many years,
Had got five babies, faithful friends,
Bought large rich house, modern yacht!..
But life, alas, is very short! -
One day bad heartache killed them both
And their Earth lives then had been closed,
As if they lost the doors of game -
Time of their deads was just the same,
To Paradise stretched out the way!..
They had found their Stairway to Heaven!
